One thing that I've noticed about sewers is that they are people who care about others.  Some of the caring projects (past and present) connected with Juanita's Sew & Serge:

• Sewing for Sick Kids - sewing Halloween Treat Bags
• 9/11 Hug Quilts - cuddle quilts for the grieving families of rescue workers
• Sewing for orphan children in Zaire - making school clothes for children orphaned by AIDS
• Remembrance quilts - lap quilts sewn for injured Canadian soldiers
